UPDATE TIME.
My hair has grown considerably, but it still isn't at the length I would like it be yet, but i'm getting there.
I haven't grown my hair out before, so I don't quite know what to expect after say 3-4 months, but that's all in the journey.
So, have I been taking special measures to try and achieve optimum growth? Yes.
Food:
Recently, for Lent I have given up meat - except for fish, so in fact I am a Pescetarian for 40 days and nights. I thought it would be harder than it actually is, but now I do have many physiological benefits - namely my hair. The fish oils some how are creating the proteins for the hair to grow faster. Alongside this, I am eating a lot more veg and fruit which does help in the long run. Because hair is essentially proteins, eating peanuts and seedy bread does help, however these are very fatty so too much too often may be detrimental to your health.
As well as these, I have been taking cod liver tablets and iron & vitamin C tablets daily with food. Iron is supposed to help hair growth, and the cod liver oil does help muscle, joints and hair reach optimum health.
It's fun having a routine because you realise that it isn't just for your hair that you should be doing these things, but for your own health.
TREATMENT:
Right now, I'm using Blue Magic Hair conditioner which I apply straight after washing my hair- which I do every 2-3 days. The shampoo I use has Olive Oil in it which is good for the hair, giving it that healthy, fresh smell and feel.
So this is after 4 weeks. I will post back in the next 3-4 weeks with updates etc.
Adios.
